The Dräger Flame1500 flame detector uses triple IR sensors to detect hydrocarbon fires even from long distances. It boasts outstanding reliability even against false alarms.
■Fast and reliable flame detection
The Dräger Flame 1500 is equipped with three infrared sensors and can detect hydrocarbon fires even at long distances. This reliability satisfies the safety integrity level SIL2 defined by IEC61508.
It is also possible to implement the HART® protocol and connect directly to systems such as fire alarm boards. It also has a low power design.
■Preventing false alarms
The Flame1500 measures infrared light at three different wavelengths and compares it to baseline values for carbon dioxide produced during the combustion of hydrocarbons.
Flame flicker analysis and years of algorithmic know-how eliminate interference sources and identify flames. In this way, Flame1500 reliably prevents false alarms caused by welding operations, blackbody radiation, etc.
■Robust and excellent durability
Stainless steel or aluminum powder coated housing is robust and weather resistant. Additionally, heated windows prevent freezing and fogging, allowing reliable operation even in harsh environmental conditions.
■Simple check
Optical Verification Test (OVT) automatically checks the Flame500's electronic board and optics without affecting the field of view of the sensing area. A tri-color LED on the front also allows you to quickly check the status of the detector.
Green indicates normal operation, yellow indicates equipment failure, and red indicates flame alarm.
