Dräger PointGard3700 is a complete one-channel gas detection system for measuring flammable gases and vapors in the atmosphere. All the necessary alarm equipment is included in a rugged yet compact housing with protection class IP66.
■All in one
PointGard3700 is the perfect solution for those who need a gas detection system but don't have the hassle of assembling the necessary components. The device includes a transmitter with measurement functions, a controller with evaluation functions, and essential alarm devices such as flashing lights and buzzers.
The AC version of the PointGard3700 operates by plugging the optional mains power into a standard power outlet. For optimal installation, mount the PointGard3700 and sensor far apart from each other.
This allows the PointGard3700, alarm device, and display to be installed at eye level, while the sensor can be placed as close as possible to the measurement location. The maximum distance between PointGard3700 and sensor is 30m.
The Dräger PIR7000 sensor included with PointGard3700 is ideal for use in hazardous areas. We also offer accessories suitable for use in piping and ventilation shafts.
■Application
If you need to measure gas concentration locally, use PointGard3700. A typical application is the measurement of flammable gases or vapors in unventilated or closed rooms. In such cases, install the PointGard3700 outside the room near the entrance and the sensor inside the room to be monitored.
In this way, it is possible to obtain information about the gas concentration before entering the room. If alarm limits are exceeded, PointGard's built-in alarm system will issue a warning.
Automatic ventilation can also be activated, allowing you to re-enter the room once the concentration has dropped and there is no danger.
