The Polytron®8100 EC is Dräger's high-end explosion-proof detector alarm for toxic gas and oxygen detection. The high-performance plug-and-play electrochemical sensor DrägerSensor® detects specific gases.
In addition to the 3-wire 4-20mA analog output with relay, Modbus and various fieldbuses are also available, allowing for integration into any control system.
■DrägerSensor – Durable, intelligent and sensitive
Thanks to its unique electrochemical sensor DrägerSensors, the Polytron8100 can detect over 100 toxic gases and oxygen. The long-life design of the sensor allows continuous and reliable detection even under harsh conditions.
DrägerSensors support the industry's widest temperature range from -40°C to +65°C. The sensor has a built-in memory chip that stores all calibration and configuration history. Therefore, pre-calibrated sensors can be used immediately in the field.
Intelligent sensor self-test functionality enables predictive maintenance. The sensor connections are intrinsically safe, eliminating the need for flame arresters, resulting in faster response times and higher sensitivity.
■Easy device management using digital communication
The digital interface on the Dräger Polytron 8100 allows for quick and easy remote assessment of the status of detector alarms. It can also be integrated with existing asset management systems such as PACTware™ via DTM. In addition to standard HART® communication systems, it also supports OFIBUS® PA, FOUNDATION fieldbus™ H1, and Modbus RTU fieldbus interfaces.
