GS01 is an infrared wireless gas detector mainly used for continuous monitoring of flammable hydrocarbon gases and vapors in the oil and gas industry. This intrinsically safe explosion-proof, SIL-certified detector is battery powered and has completely wireless signal transmission.
With the GS01, you can deploy flexible and cost-effective solutions for plant expansions, upgrades, and new construction.
■Installation under harsh conditions
Measurement points required by statute and law are found throughout the oil and gas industry, including overseas platforms, FPSOs, tank farms, and refineries. Monitoring these measurement points using wired gas detectors can be extremely difficult.
On the other hand, the GS01 wireless detector does not require any signal or power lines that require cabling. Therefore, installation is easy and quick, and signals can be wirelessly transmitted from the detector to an access point up to 500m.
By performing signal transmission wirelessly, there is no need for conduits for signal lines or power lines. In addition, the remote antenna version of the GS01-EA product series can be installed inside equipment or buildings, even in shielded environments such as metal, where signal transmission is not possible.
Whether it is temporary work such as maintenance in petrochemical plants, hot works or exploratory drilling, the GS01 offers maximum flexibility and can be seamlessly integrated into existing functional safety systems.
Additionally, technically complex installation environments such as FPSO turrets can now be implemented quickly.
