About This Product
The DMP series will be released as a successor model to the FMP series, which was a popular model of H. Fischer's film thickness gauges, in the fall of 2023.
■Characteristics of DMP series
Like the FMP series, there are three types: an electromagnetic delta scope, an eddy current isoscope, and a dual scope that supports both. Also, like the previous series, there is a basic model and a higher-end comfort model.
■Upgrade details
This section describes some of the upgrade contents from the conventional FMP series.
■Digital probe
The connection between the probe and the main body has been changed from the traditional analog connection to a digital connection using USB-C. Easier connection and improved usability.
■Durable housing
The aluminum casing improves robustness. In addition, the operating system has been completely redesigned, from the traditional button operation to one that uses a cursor to select from a menu displayed on the screen.
■Complete measurement monitoring functions
Feedback is provided using light, sound, and vibration to notify you whether the measured value is within the acceptable range.
■Changing the battery
The conventional dry battery type has been upgraded to a rechargeable battery type. It can be charged like a smartphone using the USB-C port.
■Compatibility with conventional probes
By using the standard included conversion adapter, probes for the FMP series can be used with the DMP series main unit.
■Dual scope DMP20, DMP40
Compatible with measurements of non-magnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates and insulating coatings on non-magnetic metal substrates.
