About This Product

Fluorescent stain for DNA detection after electrophoresis. DNA can be detected more sensitively and safely than EtBr, and even more safely and sensitively with excitation by BlueLED.

■DNA fluorescent staining solution

Fluorescent staining reagent for DNA detection after electrophoresis. It can be easily prepared by diluting it 10,000 times with buffer, and DNA can be detected in a short time (no decolorization required). Use UV or Blue LED for excitation light. By using BlueLED, detection is safer and more sensitive than EtBr.

■Product overview

・Highly sensitive detection with lower background than EtBr (EtBr:Ethidium Bromide) ・By using BluLED for excitation light, detection is safer and more sensitive than UV light. ・Higher safety than EtBr: Low Ames test value and does not contain carcinogens classified by IARC (Ames test: mutagenicity test, IARC: International Agency for Research on Cancer) ・No decolorization required: Only staining saves time and requires only a small amount of waste liquid.

■How to use

・Pour an appropriate amount of buffer into the tray and add "EzFluoroStain DNA" to make a 10,000-fold dilution. ・Soak the gel and shake for 10 to 20 minutes while shielding from light. ・To the detection device. ・5-10μL EzFluoroStain DNA/50-100mL buffer per mini gel ・When used as above, 500 μL is equivalent to 50 to 100 sheets of gel.

■Detection

・Excitation light (Ex): 260-370nm (UV), 440-500nm (BlueLED), 470-520nm (CyanLED) ・Absorption wavelength peak: 270nm, 370nm, 497nm ・Fluorescence (Em): Maximum fluorescence wavelength 522nm ・Recommended filter: 500~550 nm LP filter
