■Features
It is applied to the object to be measured in a random pattern of white and black, and the displacement and strain of the object is measured using Digital Image Correlation (DIC). DIPP-Strain is a low-cost strain analysis software developed by Detect, which has developed many image analysis software, with an emphasis on operability and processing speed.
■What is strain?
The rate at which the original length expands or contracts when force is applied is called "strain." Strain does not have a unit, but ε (epsilon), st (strain), and % (percent) are sometimes used instead.
■Product features of DIPP-Strain (DIC)
・A variety of materials can be measured, including metal, resin, wood, concrete, glass, and rubber.
・Two-dimensional measurement (2D-DIC) and stereo measurement (Stereo-DIC) are available. Two-dimensional measurement uses one camera, and stereo measurement uses two cameras.
・We offer system proposals including cameras and lighting, as well as software-only proposals.
■Outline of digital image correlation method
The subset set at the first time is searched for adjacent pixels at the second time, and the locations with high correlation coefficients are set as the post-displacement subset. Repeat this process and output the coordinates.
