About This Product

■Ceramic fiber whetstone

A high-strength and highly elastic whetstone created by combining alumina fiber and thermosetting epoxy resin in a well-balanced manner. It has excellent cost performance because there is very little wear during polishing, and there is no chipping due to frictional heat, and it is hard to get clogged, making it ideal for long-term continuous polishing using automatic machines such as electric rotary tools and ultrasonic tools.

■Seraton usage example

・#180, #250, #280 Removal of rough machined surfaces or removal of hard EDM scale on tool and die steel ・General lapping finish for fine surface scratches on #360, #400, #500 tool and die steel ・#700,#1000,#1200 Fine polishing and surface treatment ・Can be used as is like a whetstone with a φ3.0mm shaft (up to 50mm), or can be used for detailed lapping by sharpening the tip. For the best results, use the tip of the Selaton stick at a 30°-40° angle to the polished surface.
