About This Product

■What is SOWA-B・N?

This is a high-performance FRP product created by combining glass fiber and thermosetting resin. It has a variety of properties such as strength, electrical insulation, heat insulation, and corrosion resistance, and is used in a variety of applications ranging from bolts and nuts to pipes and structures. SOWA-B/N responds to the diverse needs of customers with "high functionality." ・Achieved high tensile strength using unique fiber orientation technology. ・Excellent electrical insulation and heat insulation properties. - Has excellent corrosion resistance and weather resistance that can withstand harsh usage environments. ・The specific gravity is about 1/4 that of iron, so it is very lightweight. - Surface resin coating allows smooth tightening work.

■About electrical insulation properties

Since thermosetting epoxy resin is used as the bonding material, it exhibits high electrical insulation properties over a wide range of voltages, from low to high voltages.

■About insulation properties

SOWA-B/N uses glass and epoxy resin, which have extremely low thermal conductivity, so they do not transmit the heat generated by engine drive parts.

■About strength characteristics

Our unique three-dimensional fiber structure provides high strength. In addition, the excellent compatibility of resin and fiber increases the stability of the composite material.

■About corrosion resistance properties

Since there is no electrical corrosion, it is maintenance-free and has excellent cost performance. Additionally, by coating the surface with resin, corrosion resistance is further improved.

■It is possible to shape screw threads etc. by cutting.

With conventional products, the reinforcing fibers were cut during cutting, making it impossible to maintain the screw shape. Therefore, SOWA-B/N has made it possible to create threads and other shapes by cutting by further reinforcing the fiber bundle in the center with fibers (with a three-dimensional structure). ・SOWA-B/N is made according to "JIS, B025 (1,982) metric coarse thread". The nut uses SOWA standards. JIS standard products are also available. - Bolt length is 500mm or less for thin items under M6, 1,000mm for M8 to M20, and 900mm for M22 to M30. - Bolts can be either fully threaded bolts or partially threaded bolts. - Headed bolts are also available. ・Nuts are basically hexagonal. - Bolts and nuts are metric coarse threads.
