The MultiCut series has been developed specifically for high-performance roughing. The combination of unique NR-profile and uneven pitch minimizes chatter vibration and cutting forces.
MultiCut, which has been well-received in the market for many years, now has a new AlCrN coating with extremely high oxidation resistance and resistance to thermal cracking. This new coating offers a significantly longer tool life, especially in wet machining. Of course, even in dry machining environments, its smooth surface has been recognized to suppress built-up edges and improve chip evacuation. By using different coatings with conventional coatings, you can select the coating that is most suitable for improving process safety and productivity according to the processing content.
■Additional introduction of multi-blade specifications
A multi-blade specification with an increased number of teeth has been added to the DIN 6527 long version of the Multicut series. You can select the 5-flute type for tool diameters of Φ8 or more, and the 6-flute type for tool diameters of Φ12 or more.
Depending on the machining process, you can expect higher feed rates and longer tool life. The 5-flute version also supports grooving up to 1 x d1 and ramping up to 10°.
