Emuge Franken has developed a new series of carbide and powdered high speed steel tools called ALCUT, which specializes in ultra-high efficiency machining of aluminum alloys. The new ALCUT, the result of an optimized tool base material, a novel cutting edge design concept, and the polishing technology that embodies it, enables the achievement of chip evacuation levels that were previously thought to be impossible. The new ALCUT "Aerospace" WF series has been developed for safe and ultra-efficient rough machining of aluminum and copper alloys. The lineup includes the non-coating type, which is ideal for aluminum alloy wrought materials and aluminum castings with a silicon content of up to 7%, and the GLT-coating type, which is applicable to aluminum castings and copper alloys with a silicon content of up to 12%.
