About This Product

SilverBack V connects 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI dual-link, and 3G-SDI quad-link professional or cinema 4K/UHD cameras with SMPTE/ARIB (optional) compliant hybrid optical camera cables for use in broadcast studios. You can create an operating environment equivalent to that of a camera system.

In addition to transmitting synchronization signals, intercom, and tally microphone/line audio necessary for studio and remote production, it can also transmit serial data and Ethernet compatible with ROP/RCP remote control from various camera manufacturers. It can also transmit LTC timecode for camcorders, making it possible to create productions that use both broadcast and cinema cameras.

The camera adapter can be docked to a camera equipped with a V-mount, and since the camera adapter itself can be equipped with a V-mount, battery operation is also possible.

A 2RU size base station equivalent to a CCU can connect two SilverBack Vs and docked cameras to one base station. It provides the necessary input/output while ensuring high space efficiency, making system upgrades easy. The base station can be equipped with openGear® compatible peripheral cards, allowing you to expand the system by installing distributors, multi-viewers, etc., and also support migration to an IP system by installing an IP gateway in the future. .

In addition to single-mode fiber transmission up to 24km between the base station and camera adapter, SMPTE/ARIB compliant connectors can power the camera adapter up to 300m. If you need further extension, you can also use the optional Juice-60 power extender to power the camera adapter up to 24km.

Remote control cables compatible with Sony RCP, Panasonic ROP, JVC Kenwood RM, and Sony LANC are available as options, making it possible to unify the remote control operation environment.
