About This Product

SMPTE HUT is a device that can extend the transmission distance between the CCU (camera control unit) and camera head up to 20km. Transmission between the CCU and the camera head is possible using a single-mode optical fiber with an ST connector, so it is suitable for relaying at golf courses or stadiums where camera cables cannot be installed, or when installing broadcast cameras in fixed equipment. It can also be used in applications where expensive optical camera cables cannot be used, such as by using optical fiber. The basic connection is to connect the HUT-CP camera unit to the camera head with an ARIB-compliant optical camera composite cable, connect the HUT-BS CCU unit to the CCU with an optical camera composite cable of appropriate length, and connect the HUT-CP camera unit to the camera head with an optical camera composite cable of appropriate length. and HUT-BS with a single mode optical fiber with ST connector. Power can be supplied from the HUT-CP to the camera head through an optical camera composite cable with a maximum length of 1 km. Power control between the camera head and CCU is performed by HUT-BS, and can be selected to match the control specifications of Sony, Ikegami Tsushinki, Panasonic, Hitachi Kokusai Electric, and GrassValley. Passive connections can also be made using the HUT-CS camera unit if local power can be supplied to the camera head.
