About This Product

The biggest advantage of fiber lasers is that they can generate high gain within the active fiber, enabling highly efficient laser oscillation. However, group delay poses challenges to ultrashort pulse laser oscillation. This laser has a unique design that takes advantage of the advantages of a fiber laser, while also making it possible to compensate for dispersion by spatially designing part of the architecture, and to control the intra-cavity dispersion of the laser pulse. In addition, its high efficiency eliminates the need for water cooling, and its simple cavity design makes it stable, robust, and inexpensive. Wavelengths can be selected from 520nm, 920nm, 1,040nm, and 1,280nm.

■Intro

The Chromacity 520 is an air-cooled, compact add-on second harmonic generation (SHG) module for the Chromacity 1040 high-power ultrafast laser that provides femtosecond pulses with outstanding performance. Provides high average power, excellent pulse quality and output stability. Chromacity520 is an ideal laser light source for semiconductor metrology, quantum communications, and quantum imaging. Highly stable laser with repeatable pulse output, pulse-to-pulse, and long-term operation. The Chromacity 520 SHG module can be purchased together with the Chromacity 1040 laser as a fully tested system or separately as an upgrade. The 520SHG module comes with a separate external power supply unit (PSU) to provide flexible placement options. The Chromacity 520 SHG module acts as a slave to the 1040 laser and can be bolted onto the 1040 or mounted on a breadboard. Control of the 520 is via the 1040's intuitive web browser user interface or the RS-232 serial port.
