About This Product

The CCM-1000 optical fiber concentricity measurement monitor is a multi-system that measures the concentricity of optical fibers and coatings during fiber drawing or unwinding. It features the principle of "forward scattering" with the addition of pattern recognition, allowing numerical measurements of all standard refractive index acrylic coated fibers.

・Measurement with two orthogonal axes ・No moving parts ・You can easily pass the fiber through the side opening. ・Supports standard to low refractive index acrylic coatings (some restrictions apply for low refractive index) ・Numerical measurement and logging of coating concentricity (amplitude, angle) ・Measurement of fiber position ・Connection to 3rd party systems

■Measurement principle

Two perpendicular laser beam sources are projected onto the surface of the fiber. The projected beam passes through the fiber and coating layer, producing a scattering pattern that varies depending on its position. The generated pattern is received by a high-resolution CCD sensor, and the data is sent to a PC via USB. Image recognition software detects the features of the scattered pattern and calculates the degree of eccentricity. In addition, the scattering pattern is displayed on the screen, allowing the operator to observe the scattering characteristics.
