About This Product

A fiber collimator is an optical component in which the light emitted from a fiber is collimated light (parallel light). There are three types depending on the purpose:

■Standard fiber collimator

A collimator that uses a conventional FC connector by incorporating an aspherical lens into an optical fiber ferrule (standard product). It is also easy to introduce spatial transmission light into fibers.

■Large diameter fiber collimator

By using a larger lens than a standard fiber collimator, the light-gathering power has been increased, making it a convenient collimator for light-receiving optical systems.

■High collimating fiber collimator

It has very high collimation properties. A simple collimator for the output optical system. We also manufacture fiber optic systems using these fiber collimators.

■Applications

- Optical connectors that require high optical coupling efficiency in optical circuits that require switching from fiber transmission to space transmission for optical branching, coupling, switching, etc. Small optical coupling parts. ・Optical pointer (beam diameter is about 5mm even at a distance of 10m) ・Used with our optical heterodyne displacement meter to achieve high efficiency and simplicity.
