It enables dynamic beam shaping at speeds up to 500Hz, reducing laser processing and welding times by 60% without increasing laser power. Compared to mechanical actuators, there are no moving parts, and compared to other deformable mirrors, the structure is specialized for variable focus, so there are fewer actuators, making it possible to reduce costs.
