About This Product

■Summary

When light enters the AOFS, the light is diffracted by Bragg scattering and Raman-Nath scattering, and a frequency (wavelength) shift occurs due to the acoustic waves generated at the RF frequency applied to the AOFS. This is called a Doppler shift, and if the direction of the diffracted light is the same as the traveling direction of the acoustic waves, the frequency of the light will be higher, and if the diffracted light is in the opposite direction of the traveling direction of the acoustic waves, the frequency of the light will be lower.
