AMI offers a line of diode drivers for driving seed laser diodes for fiber laser applications. AMI's drivers are compatible with most Type 1 butterfly packages. Various pulse width, power, and control options are available.
The Model 762 OEM Programmable Seed Laser Diode Driver is ideal for driving laser diode modules in 14-pin butterfly packages for use in CW or pulsed fiber MOPA systems. Applications include materials processing, LIDAR systems for remote sensing, laser communications, and ranging.
Model 763OEM Programmable Seed Laser Diode Driver is powered by a transconductance amplifier (analog voltage input, scaled current output). The driver circuit operates from a single 5 V power supply. Other required voltages are generated on-board by a high-efficiency switching power supply.
The Model 766 has an output current up to 1.1 A and a user-adjustable pulse width from 150 ps to 1 ns. The driver circuit operates from a single 5 V supply. Other required voltages are generated on-board by a high-efficiency switching power supply.
All three drivers above provide a PID-controlled thermoelectric cooling controller (TEC) with a current capability of 3 A and a voltage capability of 4.2 V.
