About This Product
■Summary
The DepthScan-3D imaging system is a device that projects a structured light pattern onto an object, captures (imaging) changes in the pattern of reflected light that reflect the 3D shape of the object, and quantitatively measures the shape of the object. DepthScan consists of a projector that generates a structured light pattern and a CMOS camera, which are placed a certain distance apart.
The light source, the projector, camera, and object have an epipolar geometry relationship, and triangulation is used to find the correspondence between the images on the camera obtained by the illumination light from the projector pixel and the reflected light from the object. By doing this, it is possible to obtain 3D information including the depth information of the object, and 3D point cloud information of the object can be obtained with high accuracy.
In addition to measurement and inspection applications, it can be applied to process control such as processing control and robotics guidance. It is also possible to customize the system to suit your process.
