About This Product

■Overview and features

This machine is a successor to the "RLY-716GPB/C" and is a mini power relay unit with a GPIB interface. Equipped with 16 relay contact outputs and 7-bit status input. You can control ON/OFF of 16 relays and monitor status input on the terminal side from the host computer via GPIB. For contact output, make/break contact can be selected by the user. There is a signal to monitor the operating status of the relay, and in the case of RLY-5416GPC, an LED is mounted. Functionally, there are two modes: ASCII mode and binary mode, and these can be switched with a dip switch. It also complies with IEEE488.1 and IEEE488.2 standards, and the GPIB address can be set with a dip switch. RLY-5416GPC also has a built-in power supply, so it operates on AC100V to AC240V. The RLY-5416GPB eliminates the need for a case, power supply, and monitor LED, making it easy to integrate into user equipment. If you would like a "terminal block" for relay contact output, please consider "RLT-5417GPC". Furthermore, "RLY-716GPB/C" is in the direction of termination. (Written on 16/11/22)

■ASCII mode

Compliant with IEEE488.2 standard. Operations such as controlling the relay (output) and reading the operating status and status input of this machine can be performed using ASCII character string commands. It also has bit-by-bit control (output) commands and buffering functions that are not available in binary mode. The operating status of the relay can be checked using the query command.

■Binary mode

Compliant with IEEE488.1 standard. This mode does not have input/output commands like ASCII mode. By specifying this device as a listener, you can control the relay, and by performing a serial poll, you can input the status. Because there is no command string, data transfer is faster than in ASCII mode.
