A stainless steel leveler is a sensor that detects liquid level using a thin stainless steel film.
Drill a round hole in the bottom side of the container, paste a thin rubber membrane there, and fill the container with water.The rubber membrane expands due to water pressure. Water pressure increases as the depth of the water increases, so the more water you put in the container, the more the rubber membrane will swell. Therefore, by attaching a contact point to the center of the rubber membrane, it is possible to extract an electrical signal at a certain water level.
It is not possible to attach rubber membranes to individual containers. Therefore, we created a separate mechanical part (pressure receiving part) in which a rubber membrane moves with water pressure, and the way the rubber membrane swells opens and closes electrical contacts and changes the voltage.This is the water level sensor. Or it's called a level sensor.
Fuji Controls' stainless steel leveler is a water level sensor that uses a thin stainless steel film instead of a rubber film. It is durable, weather resistant, and can be used with a variety of liquids. There are two types of stainless steel levelers: the ``electrical contact opening/closing type,'' which opens and closes electrical contacts such as microswitches, and the ``voltage output type,'' which outputs voltage changes using semiconductor pressure-sensitive elements.
Stainless steel membranes are resistant to heat and have excellent chemical resistance, and even if they are thin, they are used in dishwashers that use boiling water in non-porous areas, to prevent empty heating of bathtubs, and to monitor the remaining amount in kerosene home tanks.
