■Long-term planning, medium-term planning, and short-term planning for orders, manufacturing, and purchasing are processed in one module.
In the past, systems were often configured with a combination of an MRP system and a production scheduler within the core system. However, with such a combination,
(1) An interface between MRP and scheduler must be developed.
(2) The MRP and scheduler have separate masters.
(3) Purchasing from MRP and production instructions from the scheduler are not synchronized.
(4) Even if you try to synchronize them, MRP and scheduler cannot work together well.
There were problems such as these, which were the cause of increased implementation costs. With Asprova APS, all these problems can be solved.
■Scheduling everything from ordering to purchasing
We schedule everything from ordering to purchasing all at once. We create schedules that completely link everything from order receipt to manufacturing and purchasing. This makes it possible to truly shorten lead times, and also to reduce inventory of products and purchased items.
■Long term scheduler
Using the Finite Capacity Rough Scheduling (FCR) method, long-term scheduling is performed by inputting manufacturing orders generated from annual sales plans and three-month unofficial orders.
■Finite Capacity Rough Scheduling (FCR)
This is an MRP with finite capacity and no time bucket that takes into account equipment and personnel loads. Compared to calculations based on fixed lead times, more accurate purchasing plans and equipment/personnel load planning are possible.
■Long-term load check
Based on the FCR results, the status of equipment and personnel loads is checked, and the required number of workers and the need for overtime, leave, etc. are displayed.
■Mixed long-term, medium-term, and short-term scheduling
You can create a rough schedule for the long-term and medium-term, and a detailed schedule for the short-term, and display them on a single Gantt chart.
