The constant current diode CRD E series is a DO-35 style DHD (Double Heatsink Diode) structure. This is a small device that uses a DO35 (300mW) package and provides stable constant current characteristics.
Until now, the upper limit was around 5mA, but now it is now possible to supply up to 15mA. As a result, when a constant current of about 10 mA is required for stabilizing LED brightness, etc., constant current characteristics can be obtained with a single CRD instead of the complicated circuit configuration required by combining two CRDs or a transistor.
