The N4680 series is Honeywell's next-generation compact 2D scan engine with decoding capabilities. Available in TTL serial or USB versions, both feature industry standard 12-pin ZIF connectors. The N4680 series scan engine is the same size and uses the same mounting holes and electrical pinout as its predecessor, making it a drop-in option for customers using its predecessor, the N3680 series. Exchange is possible. The N4680 series provides legacy Gen5 5x00 and EAxx platform customers with an upgrade path for greater performance in a compact, all-in-one package.
The N4680 series scan engine provides extremely high motion tolerance up to 6m/s with image capture at speeds up to 120fps. Powerful processor provides 2.5x faster reading speed. Honeywell's latest decoder platform supports a variety of symbologies including 1D, 2D, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR). It also has advanced features to help read poorly printed and on-screen barcodes.
