■Product overview
The FS20X detector is based on the successful and reliable SS4 detector and represents a breakthrough in the integration of infrared and ultraviolet detection technology. The FS20X is a multispectral, UV/dual IR/VIS fire detector with a proven UV solar blind sensor. The FS20X has a larger temperature range than traditional UV/IR detectors and responds faster to fires with a wider detection range without false alarms.
Traditional older technology UV/IR detectors that use narrow band 4.3 micron IR sensors do not respond to smoky fires. Also, if the detector lens is dirty with oil, etc., it will not react. Both UV and 4.3 micron signals can be weakened, blurred, or absorbed by thick smoke or dirt on the detector lens. These older technology UV/IR detectors also do not provide an alarm for fire when installed behind a typical window pane.
Dual microprocessors provide a high level of fail-safe operation and fast, reliable performance at the same time. The master microprocessor performs high-speed digital sampling and signal processing calculations, while the slave microprocessor processes various sensor data, performs communication and self-diagnostics, and stores event logs and FirePic™ data, along with interface versatility. Provides additional memory for
The FS20X detector has a detection range of over 200 feet to detect 1 square foot of heptane-related fire ("ultra-high" sensitivity setting) and a cone of field of view with better volumetric coverage than most UV/IR detectors. Equipped with: In other words, compared to other companies' detectors, you can cover the target area with fewer detectors.
