This arc-type position sensor has a simple and robust structure, and is housed in an IP69K shielded package to prevent mechanical failure and reduce wear over time. SMART The smartARC position sensor is called smart because it is essentially a sensor that can think for itself. SMART position sensors have features such as self-diagnosis, reliable data collection, and closed-loop feedback control.
These devices use patented technology that combines an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) with a series of MR (Magnetoresistive) sensor arrays to precisely locate a magnet mounted on a moving target. It is highly reliable and can be controlled.
The MR array measures the output of an MR sensor installed in the direction of magnet movement. This output value and the MR sensor sequence determine the MR sensor pair closest to the center of the magnet position. Next, the outputs of these two MR sensors are used to determine the position of the magnet between them.
SMART sensor means a sensor that thinks for itself. SMART position sensors have features such as self-diagnosis, reliable data collection, and closed-loop feedback control.
