The HEL-700 Series Thin Film Platinum RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) is designed to monitor and control critical temperatures in industrial applications. This series combines high linearity, stability, accuracy, and a wide temperature range to provide linear change in resistance over temperature in a small, fast-response package.
The HEL-700 series measures temperatures from -75 °C to 540 °C [-100 °F to 1,000 °F] with high accuracy. The fully assembled elements are ready for use in probe assemblies, eliminating the need to enlarge leads at fragile joints.
These products are manufactured using a thin film of platinum deposited on an alumina substrate and laser trimmed to allow resistor swapping by either standard ±0.2% (±0.5°C accuracy) or arbitrary ±0.1% (±0.3°C accuracy). I'm doing it. The sensor chip is glazed, wired, potted, or ceramic fired into a cylindrical alumina package with Teflon® or fiberglass insulated leads.
