■Product overview
Originally designed for precision feedback control loops in textile machinery, the Model 1388 Sprocket/Pulley Torque Sensor is an accurate way to measure machining torque. It is coupled to a belt or chain-driven stub shaft and monitored by a closed electrical circuit, allowing precise control of machine speed and material feed rate. Used in automation applications to increase productivity and reduce power consumption. Rotary transformers with encoder options are available.

・Capacity: 500in-lb and 1,000in-lb (standard)
・Nonlinearity and hysteresis: 0.1%
Sensitivity of torque measurements to belt/chain tension loads reduced so as not to exceed the maximum overhang moment
・Elimination of torque error due to bearing loss in jack shaft assembly
・Measurement of torque at the “source”
・Rotary transformer with encoder option
