■Product overview
If your application is more complex than a "standalone" switch, consider the MICRO SWITCH AC Series Door Switch. The AC Series switch assembly monitors whether the service door or panel is in the "closed" or "open" position.
AC Series switches are compact switch assemblies designed for equipment applications such as vending machine service doors or panels, truck trailer monitoring doors, and military doors and panels. When an electrically interlocked device (such as a door or panel) is opened by an AC series switch, the AC series switch operates to disconnect power.
AC series switches can provide an electrical signal to an annunciator circuit, such as a light or horn to indicate that a door or panel is open. Another feature common to most AC Series switch assemblies is the "pull-to-override" position, which allows the service door to be opened and power to be applied through the switch assembly. The "pull-to-override" switch position may be useful for equipment troubleshooting when necessary.
AC Series switch assemblies have up to four switch elements that can provide the individual outputs needed for control and indicator circuits. Some products listed in the catalog are certified by UL and CSA agencies. If your application is military-related, some products are listed in our catalog with military standard part numbers.
