MICRO SWITCH ET series toggle switches are a special type of toggle switch with an electric latching mechanism. A latching mechanism (an internal solenoid located within the switch) is designed to hold the momentary switch contacts closed once the toggle switch is manually activated. The auxiliary or remote contact opens the switch's solenoid circuit, releasing the toggle lever mechanism while opening the switch contacts that were held closed.
To enable a variety of applications, ET toggle switches are available with up to 4 poles, 2 or 3 toggle lever positions, and with or without lever lock. Most ET series toggle switches mount in common 15/32" diameter holes. ET toggle switches are designed to military specification SAE AS55941 and many switches are military qualified.
