When making shaved strawberries or Taiwanese shaved ice, using a traditional shaved ice machine to shave frozen fruit or flavored ice is difficult to clean and very unsanitary. Hatsuyuki's cartridge ice shaver is hygienic because the parts that come into contact with food (the cartridge part that holds the food and the rotor that holds the food) can be easily removed and cleaned. It is also easy to clean.
