Expansion joint cover that follows the displacement of the building

■What is an expansion joint?

When different buildings are adjacent to each other, clearances are created in the buildings to absorb various external forces, such as expansion and contraction due to earthquakes and temperature changes, and uneven settlement caused by uneven ground, so that they can follow displacement and prevent damage. It is a hardware that has the role of minimizing the amount of damage.

■Expansion joint cover for buildings with seismic isolation structure

In recent years, the number of buildings with seismic isolation structures, which are ideal for maintaining building safety and functionality, has rapidly increased. Since a seismic isolation structure has a larger displacement in the horizontal direction than a non-seismic isolation structure, the amount of movement required for the expansion joint cover is also greater. For CHUBU seismic isolation expansion joint covers, we will deliver the optimal expansion joint cover according to seismic isolation clearance, amount of displacement, location of use, load conditions, material, and finish.

■Product information

-Can be filled with the same paving material as the surrounding paving material. Suitable for areas where aesthetic appeal is required, such as around entrances. ・The applicable load of T load is the specification for (cross-section - impact coefficient 0) (a place with relatively little traffic on the site). Please consult us separately regarding specifications for areas with heavy vehicle traffic or areas where vehicles pass in the direction of the ditch. ・If you specify a lid length (dimension b) other than the standard length (898mm), the price will be increased. - Fill the filling part of the filling box with fresh concrete with an aggregate of 20 mm or less to a reinforcement level + 5 mm or more. - Compatible with residual displacement of 30 mm (If residual displacement occurs, the applicable load of the tip cover may not be satisfied.
