About This Product

Expansion board exclusively for the LFYB series. Isolated DIO can be expanded by implementing 14-bit photocoupler input and 12-bit photocoupler output. Up to 4 boards can be stacked together. Compatible boards include LFYBH83048/H83064/SH7084. ■Note This board is the same product that was developed and sold by the former Yellow Soft Co., Ltd., which went out of business, as a prototype and for learning purposes, and which our company continues to produce. This is a product that originally did not have environment-related parameters such as RoHS, and we are unable to provide it, so please be aware of this before considering it. ■Product features This is an isolated DIO board that has 14-bit photocoupler input and 12-bit photocoupler output, and is used by stacking it on top of the CPU board with a PC/104 connector. Up to four boards can be stacked, and even when stacked, the CPU signal line remains on top of the I/O. a) Implement one INTERSIL CQ82C55 (equivalent to 82C55) to control 12-bit general-purpose input and 12-bit general-purpose output. There are 2 bit input ports that connect directly to CPU ports. This port can be used for general purpose or as an interrupt input. A total of 26 bits of I/O can be controlled with one board. Solder the pin header to the CPU board and stack it on top of it. The output photocoupler is a Darlington type. b) Since the board address can be set using the DIP switch, I/O control can be performed by stacking up to 4 boards (96+2 bits) by dividing the address even on the same board. c) The input/output connector has a 16-pin and 14-pin structure that prevents incorrect insertion. ■Power supply By stacking it with the CPU board, it is supplied from the CPU side, and the operating voltage is 5V. YH3048L-3 cannot be used because operation at 3.3V is not guaranteed. The current consumption of the I/O board is within 100mA. The input photocoupler is equivalent to Sharp PC817. Please prepare an external power supply of +12~24V 100mA or more. The output photocoupler uses a Darlington type equivalent to Toshiba TLP-523 (maximum withstand voltage 55V @ 25℃, maximum current 150mA @ 25℃, recommended withstand voltage 24V, recommended current 40mA).
