About This Product
SST's proprietary optical oxygen sensor (patented) LuminOx series measures oxygen concentration from the decay rate of luminescence. LuminOx measures the partial pressure of oxygen (ppO2). Partial pressure of oxygen includes internal and pressure sensors to compensate for pressure and temperature changes. This calculates the oxygen concentration (%O2) along with oxygen partial pressure, temperature, and atmospheric pressure and sends it to the host microcontroller.
SST's optical oxygen sensor is a completely different method to zirconia or electrochemical (galvanic) oxygen measurement, and features a non-consumable sensor technology with long life and blackout operation.
Additionally, it does not contain harmful substances such as lead or electrolyte, and the sensor structure is RoHS compliant. It also has virtually no cross-sensitivity, allowing it to be used in applications where other technologies are unreliable due to the presence of certain gas mixtures.
