About This Product

The optical oxygen sensor LuminOx Flow-Through can measure sample gases from process environments to clean gases and is part of the LuminOx series of optical oxygen sensors developed and manufactured exclusively by SST. LuminOx Flow-Through (LOX-02-F) extends the standard range of LuminOx (standard type) and provides faster response. The flow-through housing style is hermetically sealed, allowing a clean gas sample stream to be delivered to the sensor completely separate from the process environment. Flow-through housing style improves sensor mounting location and sample gas management and options. With patented technology, SST produces a series of sensors based on a non-consumable optical operating principle. SST's LuminOx series has a longer lifetime than competing technologies such as electrochemical (galvanic) oxygen sensors for similar applications and can be used in vacuum. LuminOx has built-in sensors to compensate for temperature and barometric pressure, so users don't need to take these into account in system design, and since it uses URAT communication, there is no need for signal conditioning circuits. SST's proprietary optical oxygen sensor (patented) LuminOx series measures oxygen concentration from the decay rate of luminescence. It is a completely different method to zirconia or electrochemical (galvanic) oxygen measurement, and features long life and blackout operation due to its non-consumable sensor technology.
