Axia iQx looks like a traditional console, but it's a console surface and mix engine rolled into one. Traditional mixers consist of a combination of a console surface and a mix engine with I/O such as QOR32 or QOR16, but iQx has a mix engine, and input and output sources are connected to LiveWire + AES67. All resources are available.
The iQx combines a mix engine at the bottom of the console surface. The main unit does not have I/O input/output, but connects to xNode and AEE67 supporting devices to form input/output channels.
Built as an AoIP console, iQx is AES67 compliant and can fully support new standards such as SMPTE 2110-30. There is no limit to the number of sources and connections that can be accessed on the network. AoIP systems that already have a LiveWre+AES67 network running don't even need to add any additional I/O. Connect iQx to access any audio source from anywhere on your network or in the world.
Do you have an iQ console or QOR engine on your network? Drop in your iQx and share resources without adding additional equipment. Build additional studios at low cost by piggybacking on existing resources like the Axia QOR engine.
Plug-and-play installation configuration is easy thanks to the built-in web GUI. No proprietary application required. Additionally, rack space may be limited depending on where you install your console, and the iQx saves space thanks to its integrated engine. The console can be mounted on a tabletop and provides the network and power redundancy expected in a world-class broadcast facility.
The iQx can be controlled from a remote site, so it can be used without an operator in the studio. We can't predict the future, but change is around the corner, and iQx is flexible enough to support today and tomorrow.
