Livewire+ AES67 is an AoIP (Audio over IP) standard that uses Livewire second-generation Ethernet switches, a pioneering technology invented by the Telos Alliance, to transport audio. A large number of Telos and AXIA brand products that adopt this standard are used in actual broadcasting sites.
First introduced as Livewire™ in 2003 as an audio IP transmission technology, today's Livewire+ AES67 is, as its name suggests, fully AES67 compliant. This means that it is fully compliant with the AES67-2015 Interoperability Standard, allowing AES67 devices to connect directly to Livewire+ AES67 networks and exchange audio streams. Livewire+ AES67 is also extensible to incorporate future AES standards as they are approved. It is also backward compatible with the RAVENNA™ network protocol.
Livewire+ AES67 allows a single Ethernet cable to carry real-time uncompressed digital audio, device control messages, program-related data, and even regular network traffic. Wire your entire facility in hours instead of weeks. Many Axia Audio studio products, along with other products under the Telos Alliance brand, utilize Livewire+ AES67 network technology.
