About This Product

■Summary

The ES-230 color bar generator can be used to calibrate your monitor or check the signal fidelity of your video system. ES-230 produces RS-170A full field bar or black burst. The unit has 8 composite outputs. TONE option (domestic standard equipment), sine wave signal is output from the rear RCA connector at 1KHz or 400Hz. Front panel DIP switches allow you to select auto black, bar/black, interlace/progressive, NTSC pedestal on/off, chroma on/off, tone frequency, and NTSC/PAL mode. In Auto Black mode, when you press the Start button, the color bar and tone will appear for 30 or 60 seconds, then switch to a silent black burst. Rack mounting is also possible with the “/P” option.
