About This Product
■Summary
The HD-488E is an HD SDI compatible SMPTE timecode generator, reader, and video character inserter. The standard time code can be selected from video input, LTC (SMPTE) input, or two RTC (internal clocks). The video signal supports HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M). It can read LTC or SMPTE ST 12-2 (RP-188) timecode and insert the read time data into an HD SDI video signal.
HD-SDI embedded audio and other ancillary data are output as is. Timecode can be output as ESE timecode or LTC (SMPTE).
In addition to standard video input, LTC, and RTC, the time code source supports various references with the following options.
・/GPS: Built-in GPS receiver to obtain accurate time
・/ESE: Read ESE timecode (TC90)
・/IRIG: IRIG-A, IRIG-B or IRIG-G format, modulation method compatible with AM or TTL (DCLS: DC Level Shift)
・/NTP-C: Connect to NTP server and use as reference time
