■GNSS antenna
ESE's master clock comes standard with a mouse-type antenna with a 4m cable (the old model came with a 5m cable). The /ANT option comes with a high-performance type GNSS antenna (ES-ANT2).
*The high-performance antenna model has been changed from January 2024 shipment.
■About antenna installation
・Although the antenna included with the GPS Master Clock has an all-weather design, improper installation may allow moisture to get inside and cause malfunctions.
・Please be careful not to allow water to accumulate at the antenna cable exit location.
・Reception may become unstable if you cannot see a wide view of the sky or if there are reflective objects or shielding objects near the antenna.
・There are cases where the device is installed inside a window that does not have a shielding effect and provides a good view of the sky, but please conduct sufficient testing in advance.
・It is also necessary to consider that reception sensitivity may decrease on cloudy or snowy days.
*When using indoors through glass, reception sensitivity will be lowered by glass that blocks radio waves or heat-reflecting glass.
■Antenna cable extension
・Antenna cable can be extended by using GPS booster
・We recommend using a low-loss antenna cable.
・Extension of 40~50m is possible with one LA-21 inline booster.
- In this case, power is supplied to the booster from the GPS master clock, so a booster power supply unit is not required.
