About This Product
ZD fittings are threaded malleable cast iron pipe fittings with a fluorine-based polymer resin (sealant) applied to the threaded part. There are white items. (1/2 to 6 inches)
■What is ZD fitting?
This is a screw-in type malleable cast iron pipe joint with a fluorine-based sealant applied to the threaded part using a special method. Fluorine sealants generally have excellent corrosion resistance, hygiene, and adhesion. ZD fittings are dream fittings that reduce sealing errors (defects) during piping construction to zero.
Features of ZD fittings
■Excellent workability
・There is no need to wrap tape seals around pipes, reducing piping man-hours. Moreover, high construction quality is maintained by eliminating variations in joint quality.
・Unlike when using a paste sealant, water can be passed through immediately after installation, which helps improve work efficiency.
・The lubrication effect of the ZD seal material enables smooth screw-in work with low torque, suppressing the occurrence of screw galling.
■Excellent sealing performance
A special coating machine applies the sealant evenly, ensuring stable sealing performance.
■Excellent rust resistance
All threaded parts (female threaded parts) are covered with sealant, which prevents rust from forming on the threaded parts when the fitting is stored.
■ Good connection with rolled screws
Rolled screws have a higher screwing torque than conventional machined screws. The lubrication effect of the ZD seal material can significantly reduce screw-in torque and prevent screw galling.
■Environmentally friendly materials
Uses environmentally friendly plating and complies with RoHs directives.
■Standardization of fittings with sealing material
For fire extinguishing piping, when using factory-fabricated joints that have been pre-applied with sealant, it is now possible to omit the application of thread joint material.
