About This Product
Due to the emphasis on corrosion resistance, stainless steel bolts have been forced to have extremely low tensile strength (yield strength) compared to steel bolts of the same size. As a result, structural designers have chosen larger bolt sizes or used more bolts than necessary to compensate for the loss in strength.
Founded in 1,660, the Swedish company BUFAB began manufacturing stainless steel bolts in 1,926. In the 90 years since then, we have developed our own manufacturing technology and finally completed BUMAX, which has both corrosion resistance and high strength.
In order to improve corrosion resistance, BUMAX stainless steel bolts have ``reduced the carbon content that causes rust to about 1/3 compared to ordinary stainless steel,'' and at the same time have ``20% to 30% reduction (reduced wire diameter by drawing). ), we successfully developed and mass-produced for the first time the ultimate stainless steel bolt that has both high strength comparable to high-strength steel bolts and corrosion resistance.
■Superior characteristics of BUMAX bolts
・High strength: 4 times the proof strength of SUS304 (A2-50) and 2 times that of SUS316 (A4-70)
・Corrosion resistance: 10 times higher than SUS304 and 3 times higher than SUS316
・Heat resistance: Guaranteed maximum operating temperature in the atmosphere of 600℃
・Non-magnetic: Non-permeability 1.007 ➡Approx. 1/60th of SUS304 (A4-70)
・Difficulty and seizure resistance: Friction coefficient is less than 50% of SUS316
