About This Product

The photoionic continuous flow electrolysis reactor was developed in collaboration between Vapourtec and Professor Thomas Wirth from Cardiff University. The objective was to develop an easy-to-use and versatile continuous flow electrochemistry for laboratory-scale research.

■Features

・Can be used with both flow chemistry system R series and E series ・Temperature range: -10℃~+100℃ ・Can be operated at pressures up to 5 bar ・Easy to disassemble and assemble ・Electrode materials: 20 types ・Uses 5cm x 5cm flat electrodes ・Flexibility of electrode spacing, electrode area, and reactor volume ・Option to add reagents during reaction

■Standalone or integrated version options

The stand-alone version is designed to be used in conjunction with Vapourtec flow chemistry systems or third-party pumps and power supplies. This version does not include parts that allow temperature control of the reactor. In other respects, the standalone version is identical to the integrated version using identical electrodes and membranes. The integrated version is offered with a temperature sensor, heat transfer accessories, and housing to attach the reactor to a Vapourtec R-Series or E-Series flow chemistry system.

■Reaction controller

A dedicated power supply designed by Vapourtec for the control of laboratory-scale electrolytic reaction reactors. The Ion Reaction Controller can be used to run reactions in Vapourtec electrolytic reactors or other manufacturers' electrolytic reactors.

■Reaction controller functions

・Seamless integration with Vapourtec systems ・Can be used with both flow chemistry system R series and E series ・Logging reaction data such as voltage and current ・You can select constant voltage or constant current, whichever is lower. ・Current range: 1mA ~ 5A ・Voltage range: 1.2V to 36V ・Accuracy: 0.5% ・Reference electrode connection and logging ・Minimize sparks in short circuit conditions Connections that provide a safe ground for the reactor ・Size: 120mm (w) x165mm (h) x345mm (d) - Override switch to remove all power from the reactor
