About This Product

■ Product overview

“MCPET” is a ultra -fine foam PET (polyethylene telephalate) sheet that Furukawa Electric Industries Co., Ltd. succeeded in mass -producing microfoaming technology for the first time in the world. It has excellent optical reflectiveness due to the fine foaming pairs, and is widely used as an optical reflector such as backlights for large LCD TVs, lighting equipment, and signboards. Excellent optical reflective performance leads to a reduction in light sources such as fluorescent lamps and LEDs, which greatly contributes to power saving.

■ 99 % of the total reflectance and 96 % of them spread

The mirror and metal reflector can only reflect the light of the light source in a specific direction because the diffusion reflection is less than 10 %. In addition, since the metal reflector is easy to absorb red light, the reflected light turns blue, unlike the original color. Moreover, the reflection rate is also low and dark. MCPET creates a bright signboard surface almost evenly, from blue light with a wavelength of 400 nm to red light with a wavelength of 700 nm.

■ Reduction of electricity bill

・ Reduce the electricity bill of the facade sign by 50 %. Reduce the electricity bill for general signs by 30 %. ・ By placing MCPET on the upper and lower sides as well as the back of the fluorescent light, the fluorescent light of the 1,100mm high facade sign using the conventional 40W2 row can be used in a row. ・ For example, the signboard using the 40W fluorescent lamp / 2m2 (1.5m width x 1.2m length) can be reduced to 5 /2 m2 by using MCPET. ・ There is a cost reduction effect when a 1m2 fluorescent light is reduced.

■ Reduce surface illuminance unevenness (lamp striped pattern)

・ Please consult with the surface illuminance on the thin sign (total thickness of 40 mm or less), especially. ・ In general, if the distance between the lamp and the signboard surface is short, the signboard surface on the lamp is bright, the signboard surface on the lamp becomes dark and uneven surface illuminance. Normally, using MCPET as a reflector, the illuminance increased between lamps is higher than on the lamp, and the relative illuminance ratio is reduced and the unevenness is resolved. ・ Especially when the signboard is thin and the illuminance is difficult to resolve, it is a special specification.

■ Construction method
