■Characteristics of red cedar

The most popular wood decking material is red cedar. Although it is called Japanese cedar (Japanese cedar), it is actually a Canadian tree. It is popular in North America and has a long track record in Japan, making it one of the wood decking materials that can be used with confidence. Red cedar has better workability than the hardwoods Cypress (Australian cypress), Serangan Batu, Ipe, Urin (ironwood), and Itauba, and is widely recognized as a well-balanced wood decking material. Since it is a member of the Japanese cypress tree, it contains components that give it a pleasant scent, giving it a gentle and pleasant scent. The scent becomes stronger when wet, so it is especially effective when used on wooden decks and exterior walls. It gives off a pleasant scent every time you step outside. ■Size selection

We recommend 2x4 or 2x6 deck flooring, which is not wide. Wide materials are not suitable for use on floors as they can warp and form water puddles. ■Deck paint

■Selection of nails and screws and how to fasten them

We recommend stainless steel or galvanized galvanized screws or screw nails to secure the decking material. Fasten screws and nail heads on the same side as the wood surface. Don't overdo it.

■When placing flower pots...

If you plan to leave flower pots on a wooden deck for a long period of time, we recommend using a planter stand for flower pots. If you place it directly, please move it frequently.
