About This Product

■Function overview

This device automatically switches the composite output of a stereo modulator and has a rich track record of operation at commercial FM stations nationwide. It constantly monitors the composite signal level of the stereo modulator, automatically detects silence, 19KHz pilot, and DARC subcarrier 76KHz signals, and automatically switches to the backup system based on the preset detection level and hold time. A system that previously consisted of multiple devices has been integrated into a 1U size, and is especially effective when a failure occurs due to firmware or hardware in a digital stereo modulator such as Orban. By introducing this device, the stereo modulator will be duplicated and the safety and reliability of broadcasting equipment will be improved. The main unit has a built-in stereo demodulator and silence detector as standard, allowing input signals to be monitored with audio, and alarm detection thresholds etc. can be set from a web browser. Alarm output can be integrated with alarm monitoring on the master, etc., and highly safe operation is expected. The signal switching section is equipped with a ``Make before break type relay,'' which has a proven track record in satellite/terrestrial audio switchers for the JFN satellite distribution network. Efforts have been made to reduce switching noise, and there will be no audible discomfort when switching during operation. In actual operation, the composite demodulator output can be re-inputted into our CDIP5000 codec and constantly monitored as a transmitting station audio signal return monitor for the head office. (Depends on the contracted bandwidth of the IP line) This machine has 4 inputs (2), and is equipped as standard with two systems in which the backup system line is switched by a relay in conjunction with the active system line. Optimized for digital stereo modulators such as Orban. (See recommended usage examples) The power supply section inside the device is duplicated to ensure reliability as main broadcast equipment.
