About This Product

■Features

PBT is an engineering plastic with excellent heat resistance. It is a material that has high dimensional stability due to its low water absorption and thermal shrinkage rate, making it easy to achieve processing accuracy. It has excellent weather resistance and chemical resistance, and has well-balanced physical properties that allow it to be used in a variety of fields. Furthermore, it is inexpensive and widely used as a general-purpose material.

■Mechanical strength

Tensile strength (50MPa) ・Bending strength (95MPa) ・Izod impact strength (39J/m)

■Heat resistance

Continuous use temperature 120℃~140℃

■Flammability

This is a flame retardant material with a flame retardant grade of "HB" according to the UL94 standard. Although it is not self-extinguishing, it has the characteristic of being flammable.

■Precautions when using and processing

It is weak and reacts with strong alkalis. Hydrolysis may occur in hot and humid environments, so it is not suitable for use in boiling water or steam.

■Appearance

White. The surface is glossy. It has good coloring properties, so you can color it to suit your needs.

Prototypes for shape confirmation, exterior parts, housings, mechanical parts, drive parts, connectors, medical parts
