About This Product

■Features

・Stone Shield is a water-based water- and oil-repellent finishing agent for stone. Approximately 12 hours after application, it becomes water- and oil-repellent on the stone surface, reducing the penetration of dirt into the stone. Additionally, since it is water-based, it has virtually no odor, and can also be used to maintain stone materials treated with penetrating water absorption inhibitors. -Stone Shield is not a paint film, so it will not peel off during use. Also, since it is breathable, moisture does not accumulate inside. ・Stone Shield has almost no change in color after application, but some stones may become darker depending on the type of stone, so be sure to test beforehand. ・Stone Shield has no wicking prevention effect.

■Work and confirmation that must be performed before application

- If there is dirt on the surface to be applied, use a detergent to clean it off and dry it thoroughly. *Make sure that water soaks in evenly when cleaning. ・Avoid applying Stone Shield when it is wet.

■Stone shield application work

・The optimum application temperature is when the stone surface temperature is between 10℃ and 40℃. ・Use a brush, roller, etc., to thoroughly apply the Stone Shield to the surface of the base material, making sure there are no spots. Leave it like this for about 5 minutes and wipe off the surface after it penetrates. *When using for a mirror finish on granite, please let it dry after penetration and reapply the top coat.
