■ Principles and mechanisms
Crystal Motor Microbalance (QCM) is a method of measuring the mass of the target molecule using the characteristics of the crystal vibrating at a constant frequency. Usually, the number of molecules adhered to the electrodes of the crystal vibration increases, the output frequency decreases, and conversely, when the adhesive molecule decreases, the output frequency increases. By measuring these frequency changes, you can detect fine molecular weight changes at the electrode.
Furthermore, combining QCM and electrochemical measurement enables a wider and higher accurate measurement, and can be used as an electrochemical crystal oscillator microbalance (EQCM). QCM200 can operate as an EQCM by connecting analog output directly with potentialtat or galvanostat.
In addition, dedicated software supports both Windows/Mac, making remote control and data acquisition from computers.
